Shipping from Nepal — common questions
How long does air cargo from Nepal take?
Most air cargo shipments from Kathmandu reach Europe, the USA or Australia within about 5–7 days including customs clearance, depending on the airline and destination.
Should I choose air cargo or sea cargo from Nepal?
Air cargo is faster and better for smaller or urgent shipments. Sea cargo, trucked to Kolkata port and shipped from there, is much cheaper per kilo for large or heavy shipments but takes several weeks.
Can you collect goods from my suppliers in Kathmandu?
Yes. We collect your orders from manufacturers and shops, check and pack them in our Thamel warehouse, and prepare all export documents.
Do you handle customs and export documents?
Yes. We prepare export documentation, handle customs clearance in Nepal, and arrange archaeology clearance certificates for statues and antique-style items where required.
Can you check the quality of my goods before shipping?
Yes. For an additional fee we inspect your goods before packing — quantities, sizes, colours, finishing and defects — and send you photos. Any problems are sorted out with the maker in Kathmandu before the cargo leaves Nepal.
What goods do you ship?
Handicrafts, pashmina and woollens, garments, statues, singing bowls, felt, hemp products, paper products and other Nepali goods. We do not accept hazardous materials.
